Special Issue in "Actuators"
A related Special Issue has been launched in the MDPI journal Actuators in connection with the 9th MOBILE MACHINES Conference and the 11th Hybrid and Energy-Efficient Drives for Mobile Working Machines. The Special Issue is entitled "Energy-Efficient Actuation and Intelligent Assistance for Mobile Work Machines" and provides an opportunity to publish extended journal versions of selected high-quality conference contributions.
The Special Issue offers authors the opportunity to turn their conference contribution into a more comprehensive journal publication and to present their work to a broader international audience. Extended submissions will be treated as independent journal publications and will undergo the standard peer-review process of Actuators. Compared with the conference version, the journal manuscript should include substantial new content, such as additional experimental or simulation results, deeper analysis, or further methodological or theoretical development. A new title and abstract are expected.
The submission deadline is July 31, 2027. Selected outstanding papers may be considered for APC waivers or discounts, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Further information is available on the Special Issue website:
Special Issue "Energy-Efficient Actuation and Intelligent Assistance for Mobile Work Machines"
The focus is on the following topics:
- Hybrid and energy-efficient drive topologies: Concepts for reducing CO₂ emissions, innovative drive architectures, as well as results and practical experience from real-world applications.
- Storage technologies: Current developments and state-of-the-art research on hydraulic, electrical, and alternative energy storage systems in the context of decarbonization.
- Energy conversion: Methods and systems for energy conversion, such as fuel cells, reformers, hydraulic drive technologies, and high-efficiency power conversion technologies.
- Control and regulation strategies: Operating strategies, control concepts, and networked processes for the efficient operation of modern systems.
- Other topics: Supplementary contributions and innovative approaches that go beyond the aforementioned topics.
Exhibition
The conference will be accompanied by a exhibition in the foyer of the conference center. During the breaks, participants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition, where various companies will be presenting their innovations and products, and to exchange ideas.
Visiting the exhibition is included in the participation fee.
